Celebrating the life of the artist – Habatat Galleries invites all to the 47th Glass International Award Exhibition taking place at the Habatat Galleries Complex in Royal Oak Michigan. This weekend is the glass highlight of the year and is not to be missed!

This three day weekend includes an auction, dinners, museum tours, demonstrations, artist talks, the POPnLOCK Show, artists, parties, the largest annual international glass exhibition in the world and much, much more! The theme for the 47th Glass Invitational is An Artist’s Life. Each artist was asked artist to provide a glimpse into their life as an artist and share their thoughts. Habatat Galleries was established in 1971 in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. It is the oldest and largest art gallery in the United States devoted exclusively to artists working with glass as their medium. Michigan’s Habatat Galleries 45th International Glass Invitational

Habatat Galleries’ International Glass Invitational is the oldest and largest annual exhibit focused on studio glass in the United States. 2017 will see the 45th Annual event and the gallery has planned some of the most exciting events, exhibitions and experiences that will be the talk of the town.

Washington Glass School artists Erwin Timmers, Tim Tate, Michael Janis and Sean Hennessey all will have works on exhibit as the monumental milestone takes place April 27th, 28th and 29th of 2017. Devoted exclusively to artists working with glass as their medium, Habitat Galleries in Royal Oak, MI is one of the oldest and largest galleries in the United States of its kind. The 12,000-square-foot gallery is home of the International Glass Invitational, where invited glass artists from around the world showcase their work for some of the most selective collectors. The 38th International Glass Invitational opened April 24, 2010 and will run until May 25, 2010, featuring over 90 artists from 16 countries. Washington Glass School’s Tim Tate and Michael Janis are each exhibiting artwork in this prestigious show.
