American Craft Council Baltimore Show Feb 19-21

The American Craft Council (ACC) is a national, nonprofit educational organization founded in 1943. with a mission to promote understanding and appreciation of contemporary American craft.

The Baltimore ACC Show is the American Craft Council’s flagship show – a must-attend for craft lovers – runs from Feb. 19–21, 2016 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

More than 650 top contemporary jewelry, clothing, furniture, and artists from across the country will gather under one roof. It’s a great chance to touch, feel, and explore high-quality American craft and meet the makers behind the fabulous work.

Fancy a bit of SHAG talk? (Society of History & Graphics lecture that is!)

Please join Baltimore’s Case[werks] Gallery for the November SHAG lecture “Historical Sources of Design Inspiration.”SHAG (The Society for History and Graphics) presents a monthly program in Baltimore to further the knowledge of the history of graphic design and illustration. Programs are free and open to anyone.

12 artists and designers featured in the exhibit “Product Lines: Art & Function Delineated” (Case[werks] Gallery current show) will discuss the historical sources that influenced their designs.

“Product Lines” exhibition featured artists are: Inna Alesina, William John Gardner Design Studio, Majer Metal Works, Emmanuel Nicolaidis, Andrea Pippins, Sarah Templinn /Radica Textiles, Whitney Sherman, David Hess, Brian Kain, Lyle Kissack, Erwin Timmers & John Wise.

Lori Rubeling, Case[werks] curator-in-residence will lead the discussion.

Erwin Timmers in Baltimore’s Case[werks] Gallery

Baltimore’s gallery and showroom Case[werks] opens its October Exhibit, Product Lines: Art & Function Delineated, featuring works by eleven artists and designers. The exhibition opens on October 16 and closes on December 21, 2013. The opening reception is free and open to the public at Case[werks] Gallery on Friday October 18 from 5:00-8:00P.M.

Ceramics, furniture, glass, prints, textiles, and design samples will be displayed in tableaus. Designers featured in the exhibit include William John Gardner, Majer Metalworks, Emmanuel Nicolaidis, Andrea Pippins, Sarah Templin/Radica Textiles and Whitney Sherman. Sculptural works by David Hess, Brian Kain, Lyle Kissak, John Wise, and Erwin Timmers will also be featured. Some of Erwin’s new glass sculptures made of recycled glass that have some great color effects will be unveiled.

Magically Suspicious Opens @ School 33 Art Center

Robert Kincheloe’s interactive sculpture “Aether – The Magical Element” has motion sensors that activate various components integrated into the different pieces. 

Our imaginations question what we see with our eyes, and in turn, our eyes question what we think we perceive. We want to be deceived. We time travel through life, drifting in a vast sea of information and distractions, searching for the spectacular, the mysterious, and the hidden. 


Baltimore’s School 33 Art Center presents “Magically Suspicious,” a group exhibition curated by Adam Lister on Friday, June 8 through Saturday, August 18, 2012, designed to confound and amaze.

The exhibit features artwork, such as drawings, paintings, photography, installation and sculptures that draws connections between process-based art, abstraction, and the desire to explore the curious and the unknown. Robert Kincheloe’s newest interactive mixed media sculpture is a standout. His torchworked glass interactive sculptures invite investigation. 

Exhibiting artists include John M. Adams, Amy Boone Mccreesh, Remmi Brant, Mei Mei Chang, Bobby Coleman, Bonnie Crawford Kotula, Jamin, Robert Kincheloe, Adam Lister, Greg Minah, Marilyn Minter, Stephanie Rivers, Phillip Scarpone and Willie Wayne Smith.

Ceramic Sutra at Baltimore Clayworks.

This Saturday from 6-8 pm is the opening reception for the show “Ceramic Sutra” at Baltimore Clayworks.Ceramic superstar (and illustrious neighbor to Washington Glass School), Novie Trump, was invited to not only jury this gorgeous show of book- themed ceramic sculpture but to contribute work as well.


Artists from across the US submitted works that interpreted the book theme with wonderful imagination and creativity, making this a must-see show for 2012.

American Craft Council Baltimore show

This fantastic show of the highest quality handmade jewelry, furniture, clothing, home décor, and more, will be available for purchase at the Baltimore Convention Center, February 27 – March 1, 2009.
