Ignoring the fact the Food & Friends donor wall is not, in fact, made from stained glass – the magazine article is a nice, if brief, recap of Tim’s early glass history and how he was able to overcome his obstacles to emerge stronger as an artist.

On October 22, 2010 of Rockville, MD. Beloved husband of Fleur Bresler; devoted father of Sidney (Phyllis), Susan, Lynne (Michael), Edward, Carol (Carolyn) and the late William; grandfather of Alex, Jonathan, Amanda, Audessa, Jessica, Rebecca, Louis, Anthony and Ruby. Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Garden of Remembrance Cemetery, 14321 Comas Rd., Clarksburg, MD. Family will be observing Shiva on Monday and Tuesday at his home in Rockville, MD at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Food and Friends of Washington D.C. or The Wood Turning Center, 501 Vine St., Philadelphia, PA 19106.
Food & Friends ‘Friendship Wall’

The charity organization Food & Friends had commissioned the Washington Glass Studio to create its outdoor donor wall, located in the park adjacent to its Northeast Washington, DC facility. The wall is made of bas-relief cast glass, made in muted autumnal Bullseye glass colors, and set in a steel framework. The donor names are engraved on metal inset panels. The translucent panels allow for light and color to pass thru the memorial.

The Washington Glass Studio created the new donor wall for the charity organization Food & Friends. The mission of Food & Friends is to foster a community caring for men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses by preparing and delivering specialized meals and groceries in conjunction with nutrition counseling. The new donor wall was dedicated in the newly landscaped ‘Garden of Gratitude’ this past weekend.
